<p>Your lower stomach is probably one of the hardest places of your stomach to get flat. Your lower stomach is the area that starts just beneath the navel. Everything above is considered the upper abdominal region. But it is an area that everyone wants to tone to get a sexy flat stomach. Exercise can be helpful to help you tone your lower<span id="more-39"></span> stomach muscles. But remember that you need to first change your diet because exercise alone will not reduce fat.</p>
<p>Your lower stomach is the area where excess fat first starts to accumulate. So naturally, it will be the last place that you will lose it. The muscles in your lower stomach can be toned so that the muscles don&#8217;t sag and so that they better support the weight that is on them, giving your stomach a slightly better appearance. But this is not a remedy for the overall problem that you face, the fact is that you have built up too much extra fat. You need to lose this excess weight before toning your lower stomach muscles will have any visible effect.</p>
<p>Toning your lower stomach through exercise</p>
<p>While exercise won&#8217;t do much to eliminate the fat that is hanging off of your stomach, you can still tone the muscles that lie beneath that. It is likely that your lower abdominal muscles are not very built up and therefore won&#8217;t have the sexy look that you want. Don&#8217;t you want your lower abs to be firmed and defined for when you do lose the extra weight? Many abdominal exercises don&#8217;t have a direct impact on your lower stomach!</p>

<p>The most effective exercise to tone your lower stomach are cardiovascular exercises such as running. Most exercises for your lower stomach involve the movement of your legs because they are directly linked with your lower stomach. That is why one of the most effective lower stomach exercises is running. Not only will this increase your heart rate and burn extra fat, but it will also tone your lower stomach muscles.</p>
<p>Stomach Toning Tips</p>
<p>Remember not to over-do or under-do stomach toning exercises. You need to be aware of how often you do your exercise routine. If you try and do a heavy exercise routine every day of the week, that will probably be too much for your body. It won&#8217;t allow your muscles anytime to absorb what they&#8217;ve been through and actually grow and<br />

strengthen. You body needs about a day or two to actually take into account the workout that you just had. <p>Did you know that it is possible to get a flat stomach in one month if you know the right exercises to get a six pack? It will also take some discipline and lifestyle changes to achieve that goal, but it can be done.</p>
<p>What most people don&#8217;t understand and the biggest mistake they make in trying to achieve<span id="more-38"></span> a flat stomach is that they concentrate all their energy on doing abdominal exercises only. Although you will see some results, you will never get those washboard abs. This is because your abs are hiding under a layer of fat.</p>
<p>The best exercises to get a six pack include:</p>
<p>Using Resistance</p>
<p>Resistance training through weights or your own body weight is essential when trying to lose belly fat. Any time you cause your body to use it&#8217;s own strength to do something, it responds by building muscle. As muscle is built, calories are burned. The more calories that are burned, the more fat you lose. You can use any type of weights such as dumbbells, kettlebells, a medicine ball or weight machine. You can also do exercises that involve your own body weight, such as push ups.</p>
<p>Involving the Whole Body</p>
<p>If you really want to get a six pack and get a flat stomach in one month, then stop doing exercises that only concentrate on your abs. You must incorporate your entire body to burn the fat that&#8217;s hiding your abs. Here&#8217;s a partial list of some really great workouts:</p>

<p>G K Bhardya AHello sir. Since your daughter is a teenager, she is still growing.<span id="more-35"></span> So it is not recommended to put her on a strict diet. It&#39;ll be better if you concentrate on increasing her physical/outdoor activities. Encourage her to swim, cycle for longer and ask her to completely avoid junk food. Taking up a sport will help her reduce and maintain her weight. Diet Adolescent children should be encouraged to follow these tips: n Eat plenty of vegetables, sprouts and pulses, fruits and whole grain cereals and avoid processed /packed foods, maida products. n Choose a diet low in fat, saturated fats and cholesterol. However there is one work out plan devised by Mike Geary that tells you what exercises to do to get rid of belly fat and it is easy to see the results. Mike is a certified personal trainer and nutritionist and follows the plan himself.</p>
<p>What makes this exercise plan different from the rest is that it starts with your diet first. By following a certain diet, the exercises which get rid of belly fat will see results so much quicker and the results will be ten times better with inches off that waistline. The aim is to halve the amount of time that you spend exercising to gain double the results via natural healthy methods.</p>
<p>The diet simply consists of eating no estrogen foods and implementing certain types of saturated fats that encourage the body to burn fat giving you an overall body fat percentage of under 10%. Once you have achieved this then start the following exercises along with Mike&#8217;s other exercise recommendations into your daily routine.</p>
<p>1 &#8211; Sit ups should focus on the front of your tummy. You will be able to feel the sit up exercising the muscles of your stomach. Place your feet under the bed or get someone to hold them. Put your hands behind your head and start to lift. Do not go all the way to touch your knees with your elbows, stop when you feel the strain on your stomach.</p>
<p>2 &#8211; The twist is simply standing with your feet apart and flat on the ground. Then turn your body to the left and then to the right while your feet stay stationary. This will take care of the fat around the sides and you should be bale to feel the strain.</p>
<p>3 &#8211; Stand with your feet apart and then lean down to touch your left toe with your right hand and vice versa. Do not do this exercise quickly as you will only lose the effect and your balance.</p>
<p>For quicker and more noticeable results then it is better to carry out an all over bod<br />

y work out plan. An overall work out for the body is better than just focusing on exercising for one area as it increases your metabolism and creates energy rather than draining you of it.</p>

<p>Flat Stomach Exercise- Your Ultimate Guide</p>
<p>Everybody wants a toned and flat stomach, but not everybody has the discipline and determination to obtain one. Let&#8217;s face it: You cannot get an instant abs by just sitting around and eating junk foods all day. You have to move your body and cut back on fatty foods. It may take a lot of hard work, but the rewards<span id="more-31"></span> will be worth it. You can start your journey to model-like abs with the following flat stomach exercise routines. </p>
<p>The first kind of flat stomach exercise is the basic crunch. The basic crunch works out the muscles in the upper abdomen. Start this exercise by lying with your back against the floor or exercise mat. Put your hands on the back of your head or cross them in front of your chest. Bend your knees so that it forms a 90 degree angle with your feet. With this position, lift your upper body closer to your knees as if touching them. Do this while keeping your feet in place and using your abdominal muscles to lift your upper body. Then slowly return to your original position. Repeat this around 15-30 times. After doing this exercise, you can feel pain in the upper abdomen. Do not worry because this is a sign that the exercise is working.</p>
<p>The second is the reverse crunch which is a flat stomach exercise that works out the lower abdomen. Start this exercise by lying flat on the floor or exercise mat and place your hands near your hips. Then slowly lift your legs with slightly bent knees around six inches above the floor as if touching the chest. By this time, you will feel pressure in the lower abdomen. After this, slowly lower your legs back to the floor. Repeat this 15-30 times.</p>
<p>The third is the oblique crunch which works out the sides of the stomach. Start this exercise by lying against on the floor. Place right foot flat on the floor with right knee bent forming a 90 degree angle with the foot. Then put left foot on top of right knee and place hands on the back of the head. From this position, bring your right shoulder closer to your left knee while contracting the sides of the abdomen in the process. Then, slowly go back to the original position. After 15-30 repetitions, switch sides and bring left shoulder this time to the raised right knee. Repeat this for another 15-30 times.</p>

ll not show if you have layers of fats covering your stomach. Therefore, it is important to shed off these fats through cardiovascular exercises or aerobic exercises. These types of exercise must be done for at least 30 minutes per day. Some common examples of cardiovascular exercises include running, cycling, brisk walking, dancing, swimming or any activity that can help you sweat and keep your heart rate up. </p>

<p>New Delhi, Nov. 28 &#8212; I have weak abdominal muscles, and my doctor advised me the double leg straight lift. An article in Rush said that this wasn&#39;t a very good exercise and there are more effective ways to strengthen abdominal muscles. Please recommend a few exercises.</p>
<p>PC Singhal Abdominal muscle exercises are very<span id="more-30"></span> important as this region is where forces generated by the upper and lower body meet. The abdominal region needs a lot of static strength so that there is a firm base for other muscles to move from and it needs a large amount of dynamic strength because the back is intricately involved in important body movements also. There are three very effective exercises for developing abdominal strength. I prefer not to do these daily and recommend a 48-hour rest period between sessions. Prone bridge hold</p>
<p>This exercise can build static strength in your abdominal and torso region. Here&#39;s how to do it:</p>
<p>Lie face down on a mat, body in straight line. Raise your body off floor, with only elbows and toes in contact with the ground. If that&#39;s difficult, keep knees on ground and toes in the air.</p>
<p>Do not arch the back, keep it flat.</p>
<p>Hold contraction for 15 seconds; complete 3-4 sets. Every second day, try and hold a few seconds longer.</p>
<p>Ab crunches</p>
<p>Slow abdominal crunches are a great exercise as they isolate the abdominals and make them work stronger. But you must not be going fast enough to use momentum.</p>
<p>Lie on back, feet on a stability ball or a chair. Keep elbows out and hands at ears, don&#39;t pull on back of head.</p>
<p>Breathe out as you curl up, breathe in as you curl down in slow, controlled movements.</p>
<p>Do 3 sets of 10 repetitions (progress reps as you get stronger).</p>
<p>Supine isometric ab holds</p>
<p>This exercise isolates tricky lower abdominals that are associated with postural pain. Weak lower abs can lead to an exaggerated anterior pelvic tilt, which puts pressure on the lower back and causes back pain.</p>
<p>Lie on back, feet up at 90 degrees</p>
<p>Press hands into quadriceps and press quadriceps against hands; hold for 15 seconds, rest for 45 seconds, complete 4 sets.</p>
<p>Lie on back, legs extended at</p>
<p>45 degrees, slightly bent at knees; press against quadriceps; hold for 15 seconds.</p>
<p>Increase duration of holds as strength increases.</p>
<p>Strong abs can keep lower back, hip and knee pain at bay. Do these exercises thrice a week.</p>
